ANNOUNCING… Our 3rd Leg!

This was such a hard secret to keep in!

This past December a new (that turned into Dear!) friend invited my daughter + I out to have tea. This was the first that I have been in a tea house since the pandemic…so of course I was thrilled! We had such a fun time and I was reunited with my Love.

A fire was started under me. I embraced the thought of being in public with other afternoon tea-goers, and got to work.

Over the past few months, I have curated the 3rd Leg of our California Tea House Tour!! Let’s call it:

~ THE BACK TO LIFE TOUR ~

As of today, we officially have EIGHT new Tea Houses + Tea Rooms to visit and SIX old ones to revisit! My plan (like before) is to attend one every month. That’s over a year of new experiences and new posts yall! At the bottom of our website, you should see a button you could click to follow us! That way, you won’t ever miss a post. And, you will be kept up to date on all the Tea Spots! There’s also a new thing on our site: an area where you can donate to our Tour if you feel moved to contribute. (cuz tea can be esspensiiive!!) No pressure of course, just for those who wanted that option. 😉 Thank you in advance to you generous hearts!! We look forward to sharing our thoughts on the best places to have afternoon tea and the ones you should mos def skip!

For those who are new here, WELCOME! Check out our old posts to see what we thought of almost 30 different places to have tea in the greater San Francisco Bay Area! Leave a comment of which was your favorite, we’d love to know!

Until our next Tea Spot, Tea Lovers…

Off-Tour Tea

I just couldn’t keep away!

In September, I announced that our Tea House Tour would have to take place every other month as opposed to every.  With our busy family of 4, our Saturdays were slowly becoming a commodity around here!  It was only appropriate that we spread out our Tour Dates…

Meanwhile, I’ve still been living up the Tea Life!!  Hehe.  In early October, I introduced my girl cousins to the tea party experience at my alma mater of tea houses.  It was so cute to see their first experiences!  We chat about etiquette and as usual, had LOTS of laughter!  Late October, for Sunday brunch, we decided to have our first family tea party!  I steeped a pot of loose leaf tea for us, and baked fresh scones!  I even found the fixings at our local grocery store!  Then just last week, for our regular sister-date, my SIL + I thought it was long overdue to visit our favorite tea spot.  We shared stories of our day-to-day, had a really good vent sesh, and moaned over how great our teas tasted there!!  Ughhh, I love tea.

Enjoy the few shots that were taken (the first one was borrowed from my cousin)…I was having too good a time to take pictures!

Throwback Thursday

First Time

I was curious as to how long it’s been since I hosted my first Tea Party.  November 19, 2011.  Almost three years since I fell in love with all this cuteness!!

What originally sparked my interest…!?  An old middle school friend of mine was just surprised with the most adorable baby shower at Crown & Crumpet in San Francisco.  While I was immobile (and suffering through the worst pregnancy ever: bedridden for 8 months + hospitalized 20 times), I would longingly gaze at all her beautiful facebook pictures of her gorgeous shower.  (So sad, wasn’t I?!)  Everything was just so cute!!  The food looked delicious + the place was just so lovely.  I couldn’t wait to experience it for myself one day.  I had just had my daughter, and was in need of some girl time.  I got this brilliant idea to host tea, and searched for the closest tea house to me.  Tyme For Tea & Co. in Niles Fremont, CA (I frequent there now, but it’s scheduled on the Tour for next year!) popped up, and I made reservations right away!  I took my 2 SIL’s with me, a few close friends + a few girlfriends I wanted to get to know better.  I could NOT get over all the cuteness!!?!  From the teacup sets to the mismatched silverware, even the doilies!?  I loved all of it.  I couldn’t wait to do it again, so I planned another party a few months out.  Little did I know, this would be the beginning of what is it today:  16 tea house spots waiting for us!!  Thank you for following!  😉

Welcome!

Hello!  I love Tea Parties.  I would host them at the same tea house every few months for my girlfriends.  I wanted to branch out and experience other tea places.  I researched 12 tea houses around the San Francisco Bay Area, and am taking my girls along with me!  Join us every month for the next year, as we sip + taste new experiences!!
